The purpose of this position is to increase customer satisfaction by working with customers, internal and external, to estimate and communicate Service work.   Accurately and efficiently schedules work load for Service Technicians to complete repairs and set-ups.  

This position directly impacts customer experience, revenue and profitability and is fundamental to our continued growth and success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates/opens accurate and timely work orders

  • Appropriately assigns work orders to Technicians

  • Provides accurate and timely quotes to customers

  • Communicates quotes and pertinent information to customers

  • Closes work orders accurately and a timely fashion

  • Files and documents warranty claims accurately and timely

  • Assists in maintaining an efficient and effective work flow

  • Maintains appropriate contact with customers and keep lists updated and accurate

  • Promotes and increases Uptime Service Inspection Program

  • Acts on sales opportunities for Service and/ Parts Departments

  • Assists walk in customer traffic in a timely, professional, manner

  • Works with the appropriate staff to schedule customer equipment pick-up and delivery

  • Works with customers regarding payment options

  • Ensures all Service Department tools and equipment are in good working order

  • Maintains and produces accurate paperwork

  • Keeps a clean and orderly work area

Supports compliance of government regulations such as, but not limited to, OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Workers Compensation and DOT

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-4 years of experience in a busy Service environment

  • Basic understanding of equipment servicing for Agriculture, Lawn and Garden, Golf, and Power sports equipment

  • Familiarity with work flow scheduling, equipment servicing/maintenance, and warranty claims

  • Experience with computerized business systems and customer invoicing and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

  • Must be organized, detail orientated and tolerate pressure

  • Strong verbal communication (in person and telephone)

  • Strong data entry skills (accuracy and speed)

  • Ability to use critical thinking to solve problems and improve systems
