CONTRIBUTION AND SUMMARY

This position contributes to the Company Mission and Quality Policy by making performing tasks that support the goals and ideals of Frontier Ag & Turf.  This at-will position includes, but is not limited to, the essential duties and responsibilities as outlined below. 

PURPOSE

John Deere Parts Counter Sales Persons are responsible for selling, receiving and delivery of parts, accessories and attachments.  They also provide in-store customer service, are responsible for product display and promotion, and keep retail displays well stocked.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide complete customer service by accurately determining the needs of the customer as it relates to parts and service support

Provide timely and accurate technical support/information to customers (internal and external)

Work closely with the Service and Sales Departments to supply service parts as needed,  promote additional sales opportunities, facilitate attachment sales, maintain accurate inventory counts, and offer customer service support when needed

Maintain a clean and safe work environment for our employees and customers.  Create an enticing retail sales environment for our in-store customers

Keep accurate records of inventory receipted-in and sold in order to maintain accurate inventory levels

Maintain the condition of company vehicles, inventory, equipment and tools

Must maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products by successfully completing required training

Must work cooperatively with other members of the Parts Department and other company departments

   Must represent the company in a professional manner by maintaining a professional appearance, professional and respectful communication and actions within the work environment and in the community at large.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Proficient data entry and keyboarding skills are required

Must have strong basic computer skills

Basic knowledge of parts and agricultural / turf equipment and machinery

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Must have a proven track record of effective customer service skills

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associates Degree in a similar or related field preferred

Valid Driver’s License required

Fork lift license preferred
